New Jersey Natural Gas (NJNG), a subsidary of New Jersey Resources, is seeking a Quality Control and Systems Liaison to support the Manager of SAVEGREEN Support Systems in data reporting systems and serves as the liaison between staff and our program software providers on daily issues related to system performance. Works with reporting staff to maintain established reports and data aggregation.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Extract and manipulate data from various reporting environments and produces regular reports in agreed upon format
  • Prepare reports that interpret analytical results, highlighting implications of findings. Follow through on any further actions based on the results
  • Work with management to ensure mission critical reporting and business intelligence reporting is being developed and delivered
  • Translate end-user reports into custom reports and dashboards using Excel and/or Power BI
  • Monitor data quality, identify inconsistencies and provide recommendations to optimize data processes
  • Serve as first point of contact for end-users seeking technical assistance with SAVEGREEN department's program management software
  • Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions
  • Walk the end-user through the problem-solving process
  • Record, categorize, prioritize and monitor the status of all issues to resolution
  • Direct unresolved issues to the vendor for the next level of support
  • Support regulatory inquiries and other special projects as needed

Position Specifications:

  • Bachelors' degree required - related to the job responsibilities such as software design, engineering, information management, computer science or other related discipline is required
  • Two to four years of relevant work experience is required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Advanced Excel knowledge (managing large data sets, formulas, Pivot Tables)
  • Strong knowledge of other Microsoft Office applications, Power User
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Access and Power BI is preferred but is not a requirement
  • Data gathering and analysis

  • Solution-orientated mindset: ability to investigate issues autonomously, but escalate when necessary
